The Inpress Internship Programme - now open for Autumn internships

From April 2009, Inpress will offer internship opportunities in digital development, press and PR. We are looking to recruit a team of talented interns who will undertake placements of approximately 8 to 12 weeks during 2009/2010. In addition to the areas of work outlined below, our interns will accompany the Managing Director and Publisher Services Officer to meetings with publishers, authors and funders, giving them a unique overview of the independent publishing sector and the opportunity to network more widely.

Key tasks include:

Editing reader reviews

Researching literary festivals and prizes

Updating author biographies

Developing the Inpress Facebook page

Sourcing images for the Inpress blog

Developing news stories and writing press releases

Updating the Inpress website on a daily basis

Please note that this opportunity is not salaried. Inpress will cover daily travel costs and any additional expenditure.

Order from our website and you can deal directly with independent publishers, ensuring that the publisher receives a significantly higher share of the book cover price.

Shopping Online is easy with Inpress and we offer:

* Occasionally, magazine publishers find it necessary to add shipping charges to UK deliveries. We add details of individual publishers' charges below.

Currently, the only title with a small UK shipping charge is Banipal Magazine.

 

 


 

Membership and Diversity

If you're interested in joining as a member publisher, please request a membership application form by using the 'contact us' page. We have a set of selection criteria that all applicants must meet. We aim to increase the audience for our books by recruiting publishers from different cultural and social backgrounds as members. It should be noted however, that any potential members must meet our membership criteria.
