April Renga is an A6 perfect bound book of 36 linked poems in the Japanese style of Kasen, written and complied between April 2008 and September 2009.
An initial group session was held at the Millfield Hotel, Grimsby with a follow up meeting roughly a year later. Otherwise the sequence was composed through e-mail correspondence between the writers involved - members of the Driftnet Poets of Grimsby: including Gordon Wilson, Keith Duke, Tracy Booth, Maria Garner and Carolyn Doyley, and led by freelance poet Paul Sutherland.
