Eamon Cooke was born in Cavan in 1944. He has won several prizes for short stories and has published poems in several journals. He joined Cavan County Council as Clerical Officer and later became Senior Staff Officer with Meath County Council where he now works. His first collection of poems, Berry Time, was published by the Dedalus Press in 2002.
