Envoi has high production values. It is published as a 96-page, large format, perfect bound, matt laminate journal with an eye to presenting the poetry well on the page.

Envoi welcomes all poets, both new and established. For the second time in its history Envoi is being produced from Wales, a country with a strong tradition of poetry and narrative. We hope that Envoi will reflect the best in Welsh writing set on an international platform. Poets from Wales, the UK and the world at large are all welcome to submit to Envoi. We receive a large volume of submissions and the emphasis of selection is on quality, not the writer’s name. You can send submissions via email or land mail.

Envoi is distinctive in that it publishes a small group of poems or a short sequence from each contributor rather than single poems. The style of the magazine is eclectic – we are interested in good poems in a wide range of styles, but with a leaning towards uncluttered, lucid modern poetry, particularly poetry that is willing to take risks.

We also include a substantial section of reviews in the magazine as well as an expanding online reviews section and carry occasional poetry related articles and poetry in translation. In addition, Envoi has a tradition of open poetry competitions with closing dates three times each year and winning poems published in the magazine.
