Ian McMillan

Ian McMillan was born in 1956 in the village near Barnsley where he still lives. He’s been a freelance writer, performer and broadcaster since 1981 and he’s published many collections of poetry for children and adults.

He performs all over the country, solo or with cartoonist Tony Husband or with The Ian McMillan Orchestra, whose first CD Sharp Stories came out in 2007 on the Taith label.

Ian McMillan works extensively on radio, presenting The Verb on Radio 3, and on TV he’s a regular on Newsnight Review and Have I Got News for You.
