Longlisted for the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Prize.
Nature's Magician is a specially commissioned collection which seeks to ask the simplest of questions. Why does ice float? When do birds sing? What do children dream of? These ten stories touch on the beautiful innocence of youth, the spellbinding tension of friendship and the dynamic nature of love. With fiction, as with magic, anything can happen.
Anthony Cropper is the author of the short story collection Nature's Magician and has published two novels, Jack and Sal and Weatherman. He has co-edited three collections of short stories, Next Stop Hope, Naked City and Wonderwall. In 2005 his play, I'll Tell You About Love, won the BBC Alfred Bradley Award for Radio Drama.
