Synopsis
Non Meeting Our non-meeting is perfectly placed in the intricate pattern of things that have come my way. We have at least been denied the ordeal of small talk, recovery of self from cliché. Now we can create a common lexicon for the escape of ourselves in the style of Tajmahals. Shanta Acharya was born in Orissa in eastern India and educated at Oxford and Harvard. For many years she worked as an investment adviser. Her poems have been published widely in Britain, America and India. She is seen as a poet who successfully bridges two cultures - the spirituality of the East and the materialism of the West.
