About Red Squirrel Press
Red Squirrel Press publishes poetry (full-length collections and pamphlets), crime fiction novels, novellas and non- fiction. Established in 2006, it has published over forty books. Authors include Bob Beagrie, Kevin Cadwallender, Tom Kelly, Kathleen Kenny, James Kirkup, Valerie Laws, Eleanor Livingstone and Andrew McMillan. Eleanor Livingstone was shortlisted for the London New Poetry Award and Red Squirrel Press was shortlisted for the Callum Macdonald Memorial Award.
It also runs the annual James Kirkup Memorial Poetry Competition and a quarterly magazine; Drey, featuring poetry, flash fiction, artwork, reviews and essays was launched in March 2011.
Founder Sheila Wakefield is Managing Editor and Kevin Cadwallender is Scottish Commissioning Editor and Creative Editor of Drey magazine.
