A traditionalist, he uses metre and (where appropriate) rhyme. He is also a lover of Latin poetry; this volume includes his translations.
Martin Lyon was born in 1954 and lives in London where he works as a librarian at the School of Oriental and African Studies. He began writing poetry in adolescence, and over the years his poems have appeared in a wide variety of magazines.
