Michael Hewlings was born in 1945. He was educated at Bryanston School and at Oriel College, Oxford, where he read Philosophy, Politics and Economics. In 1968 he became an ordinand and read Theology at Leeds University. This is his first collection of poems, most of which were written during his time at Oxford.
