Ragged Raven Press was founded in 1998. Its first title was the critically acclaimed 'Bare Fists', a non-fiction book about bare-knuckle prizefighting which was subsequently bought and published by HarperCollins in the UK and Overlook Press in the USA. Ragged Raven has since concentrated on poetry, producing individual collections and an annual anthology. These have been very well received. More general comments have included:
