Details
Poet, gardener and river-watcher, Elizabeth Rimmer's roots are Catholic, radical, feminist and green. Her work is inspired by weather, landscape and tradition, the work of craftsmen, gardeners, foresters and musicians, and by language, legends and heritage. Or anything else that appeals to her magpie mind. Her work has appeared in Poetry Scotland, Northwords Now, Gutter and Brittle Star.
Elizabeth Rimmer was born and educated in Liverpool and moved to Scotland in 1977. In between raising her family she has edited dissertations, taught meditation, run a Youth Theatre, created a herb garden, and studied Medieval Literature and monastic spirituality and mysticism, geo-poetics and permaculture.
