A lively new translation from the Welsh by the author, who is a winner of the Book of the Year award and the National Eisteddfod Prose Medal.
"The best novel about sex I know of in Welsh … Sonia Edwards is the mistress of the erotic" - TALIESIN
"A masterpiece of sensual and erotic writing" - MANON RHYS
The disappearance of Nen, the main character who never actually appears in the book, inspires those close to her to remember her. Through a range of other voices we come to know Nen, and to know of her fears, her desires and her longing; but as her family and friends betray the secrets of this enigma of a woman, they are also forced to reveal their own, closest-kept feelings, and in the process they betray themselves too.
Originally from Cemaes, Sonia Edwards is an award-winning poet and fiction writer who now lives and teaches in Llangefni, Ynys Môn. Her work has won both the Arts Council Book of the Year Award and the National Eisteddfod Prose Medal. She has published several novels in Welsh as well as two collections of short stories and a volume of poetry.
