Liz Almond’s second collection of poems, Yelp!, is about recuperation and retreat. Almond reflects on her visits to far-flung places; from remote parts of Greece and Southern India to Andalucia, where she has a tiny house.

Liz Almond was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, grew up in South London and has lived for many years in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire. She has taught Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Alsager Faculty and at the University of Huddersfield.
